7-1925 Effie Arnold

Researched and compiled by Faye Bell (SLC) 2013

Effie Ellen Alexander was born in 1907 to Bert and Mabel Arnold of Ten Sleep, WY.  Her family consisted of Zula, William and Mike Arnold, Alta and herself.  In 1928 she married Guy Alexander in Washakie County, WY.  The couple farmed areas in Ten Sleep, Worland, Manderson and Basin.  They had four daughters: Mabel, Elsie Oneta, Nora and Laverna.  She was a model mother and wife—a beautiful woman with honorable ways.  Her connections in the Ten Sleep vicinity include her grandparents Lewis and Stella Jacobs (Lew Jacobs was well known for his well-designed homes, his freighter business and his lifestyle as a social individual that held dances in his home!)  Effie Alexander died in 1954 and the survivors included all of her children  and all of her siblings plus her husband, Guy Alexander.

Memories: Effie Alexander was a model of womanhood and also a very attractive woman.  From the way the family held together it appears the Alexanders had a stable, comfortable and united home.  Fb
