Guy Alexander was born (25 April 1904) on Spring Creek, Big Horn County (at that time), Wyoming to Milton A and Myra G Alexander.  He joined a year-old brother named LeRoy Alexander.   When he was 5 years old, a tragic incident on Spring Creek called the Spring Creek Raid occurred.  Because of it his father was indicted for involvement and as far as is known, his mother Myra kept the home fires burning within the city limits of Ten Sleep.    By the time he was 15 years old, he was working as a farm hand for Richard Redland in the Ten Sleep area along with Katie, Dee and Clifford Brubaker on a farm owned by Mr. Redland.  By this time it appears that LeRoy Alexander had changed his residence and Guy was on the road to living the life of farmer/rancher in the Big Horn Basin.  He married Effie Ellen Arnold, daughter of Bert and Mabel Arnold in Washakie County, WY in 1928 (marriage record of Wyoming).  The couple had four daughters:  Mabel, Elsie Oneta, Nora and Laverna.  His wife Effie passed away in 1954.  Guy Alexander passed away in December of 1966 (SS death index) in Billings, Yellowstone County of Montana; the record showing his last residence had been Billings, MT.

Memories:  Guy and Effie Alexander were a very handsome couple and young-at-heart.  They brought their four daughters from Manderson, WY for the Ten Sleep dances in the mid-1940s.  All were attractive and it seems the family were in complete harmony one with the other.  One daughter, Nora Alexander Lewis (md Jerry Lewis) became Mrs. Wyoming at one time when she lived with her husband in Basin, WY.  Elsie Oneta md John W Greet and lived out her days in Ten Sleep.  Remarkable people.fb
