Myra G Alexander was born in1865 in the State of Iowa as per the 1910 U.S. Federal Census.    When she was 38 years old she married Milton A Alexander and the couple lived on Spring Creek, Big Horn County, WY.  The Alexanders had two sons by 1910 census—Leroy and Guy—one year apart and both born at the Alexander premises on Spring Creek.   By this time, Milton was serving time at the Rawlins, Carbon Co, WY penitentiary.  When he was released from prison, he returned to Ten Sleep and the family resided in Ten Sleep on Main street in a modest, frame house—white with green trim.  Myra was a flower gardener and spent a lot of time in her garden.  Leroy Alexander left the area, but, Guy Alexander, married Effie Arnold, daughter of Bert and Mabel Arnold; they gave Myra four beautiful grand-daughters.  She passed away in 1950.

Memories:  Myra Alexander lived down the street from my family, and when I was a small child her flowers were something I enjoyed.  She was very small and quick. When I researched Ten Sleep history in the 1970’s, old timers in Ten Sleep told me, that at one time she had a number of friends that shared the same telephone line. Theyl had happy society together until after the Spring Creek Raid..  fb
