Barbara Gail Bell

1938 – 2015

 

Barbara Gail Bell was born February 6, 1938 in Arvada, Wyoming to James and Rachel Bell. 

 

Barbara was a bright and active child and enjoyed life on the family ranch, ridding horses and always willing to help with the chores.  Barbara attended school in Arvada and graduated from Buffalo High School.  She received her bachelorŐs degree in nursing from Montana State University and later her Masters from Santo Clara University, in California.

 

Barbara loved her chosen profession and was a dedicated nurse for many years.  She worked as Director of Nurses at several facilities throughout California, and was appointed to the citizens ambassadorship for substance abuse , serving on the delegation to Spain and Portugal in 1991.  After retirement, Barbara continued to serve her community as a volunteer nurse, giving flu shots, vaccines and checking blood pressures.

 

Barbara loved to travel and hike and was an accomplished photographer and sketch artist using her skills to document her adventures.

 

Barbara passed away October 20, 2015 in Inglewood California.  She was preceded in death by her parents , James and Rachel Bell, her brother William Bell of Texas and sister Dorothy Arnold of Sheridan, Wyoming.  Barbara is survived by one sister, Nancy Bell Moses, of Sheridan, Wyoming and one brother, James Bell of Custer, Montana.
