     Bertha L. Bjornestad died Sunday, Oct. 22 at Bethesda Care Center in Worland.  She was 91.

     She was born July 19, 1898 in Laurel, Mont., a daughter of Rasmus O. and Christina I. Nore.  She was raised in Laurel, Columbus and Billings, Mont.  She attended Billings Business College before her marriage.

     On Dec. 3, 1920, she married Ben Bjornestad in Billings. The couple moved to the Big Horn Basin in 1924 and lived on a ranch on the Lower Nowood near Ten Sleep.

     She was a member of the American Lutheran Church.  Her hobbies included reading, baking and growing flowers.

     Survivors include four sons, Bill of Manderson, Raymond and Bernie of Cody and Orval of Byron/ 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband on May 1, 1988 and by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

     The service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Grace Lutheran Church in Worland, with the Rev. Greg Kaiser officiating.  Burial will be in Ten Sleep Cemetery at noon on Wednesday.

     Memorials may be made at the Stockgrowers State Bank in Worland for a fund to be named later.
