ADDISON (BUD) BROWN

Addison (Bud) Brown was registered on the 1910 U.S. Census as Edgar Brown (and in following censuses as Addison E Brown). His parents were Edgar and Florence Brown and he was born in Nebraska on the 27 Apr 1909(SS Death Index). In 1920 he was in Antioch, Sheridan, Nebraska, with his three sisters: Helen, Maxine and Doris. By 1930, the family were living in Shoshoni, Fremont, Wyoming. Bud Brown was then 21 years old and he was alone with Edgar and Florence Brown. On May 20, 1949, Bud married Ola Downs Austin in Buffalo, WY. and they had two sons together: Donnie and Michael J (Mickey). The couple ranched outside of Ten Sleep for about 19 years and thence, moved into Ten Sleep proper, bought a home there and operated a service station. Later he changed his business title to Budís Welding and Repair shop in Ten Sleep. Addison E (Bud) Brown passed away on July 10, 1993 (SS Death Index). He was survived by his wife Ola and his two sons Don and Mickey Brown.
Memories: A quiet man who seemed to be continuously at work, Bud paid his way all the way. fb
