David  E. Calton

1936 - 1937

This is the only known photo of David E Calton,. He passed away in 1937 at 1 year of age. His parents were Clay and Altha Arnold Calton. They lived in a little house on 3rd street  - my parent's home is about 3 houses east of the house -  between 1929 -1954.  Their 2 surviving sons Calvin and Bill Calton attended school and graduated in 1948 and 1950 respectively; Clay drove a school bus for many years.

Elmer David Calton was the third son born to Cal and Alta Arnold Calton.  On Earth his sojourn was temporary, but in the hearts of his family he was forever.  He joined Calvin and William (Billy) Calton in 1936 and expired in April 1937 (this vital statistic was printed in the Thursday issue (Worland Grit) April 29, 1937).

NOTE:  The mother of Elmer David Calton is the daughter of Bert Arnold (the blacksmith in the 1920s and 1930s) and his wife, Mable Jacobs Arnold.  Cal Calton spent abt 15 years in the Ten Sleep school system as the Ten Sleep Canyon bus driver and the school janitor.  He was superb in both positions.  The Caltons were a very nice family.  fb
