Obituary for Clyde Clinton (or Cheston1) Caudell

Clyde C  Caudell was born 9 Feburary 1919 in Farmington, San Juan, New Mexico to Delbert and Merle Caudell.  The 1930 census shows brothers George Harry and Robert Delbert with the family and Clyde as the oldest child.  His Social Security No. was assigned in California.  In 1951  on December 5, he crossed the Mexican border at Brownsville, TX, PanAmerican flight.  Between 1900-1968 he is listed as a machinist with the company of Claudell and Johnson and is shown in the directory with Ruby M Claudell.  Clyde C and Mrs. Gladys are listed again as Republicans he a truckdriver and she a housekeeper in Richmond, CA for the California voting list precinct #7.  He passed away on 26 June 1991 in Worland, WY (obits listed in Northern WYO Daily News) and was subsequently buried in Ten Sleep, WY.

 

1The indicer for 1930 indexing added Cheston as a correction.  Of course, that makes it ambiguous, but both names are given in case of a search by posterity or other.  fb
