Joe Benjamin Chamberlain was born on April 2, 1917 to Robert Wayne Chamberlain and his wife Lillian Beth Williams in Washakie (no town named), Wyoming (assumed from personal knowledge to be Upper Nowood in Washakie County). He was a member of the U.S. Amy during WWII and to all concerned “served faithfully”; 30 September 1942, Joe married in California – the wife’s name was not publicized. All who lived along the Nowood Creek are considered farmers or ranchers. Joe had a brother Norman Chamberlain; no other siblings are known to have existed. During 182 – 1942, Mrs. Chamberlain, his mother, owned and operated the Ten Sleep Princess. As indicated by the date, it was short lived.
