     TEN SLEEP --- Maxine Cooper, 72, died at Community Care of America in Worland on Saturday, August 21, 1999.
     She was born in Pattonsberg, Mo. on May 16, 1927 the daughter  of Charles and Bessie (Yokum) Pearl.  She moved to Ten Sleep in 1933 and attended schools in Ten Sleep and Worland.  Maxine was married to Arthur Cooper in Worland on September 4, 1944.  She was active in Home Extension at the local level and served as a state delegate for many years.  She was a charter member of the Ten Sleep Lions Club and served as president and treasurer of that organization.  Maxine worked at Jon's IGA and Wards and helped at the Ten Sleep Library.
     Her hobbies included reading and her flower garden.  Her favorite pastime in later years was following the activities of her grandchildren.
     She is survived by her husband Arthur Cooper of Ten Sleep; sons LeRoy Cooper of Riverton, Ed (Becky) Cooper of Ten Sleep; daughters Patty (Larry) Lamb of Jackson, Theresa (Lyle) Bader of Worland; brother CJ (Anna) Pearl of Basin; sisters Jerry (Harold) Burton of Worland, Virginia (Dale) Black of Ennis, Mont. eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Ten Sleep with Pastor Stephen R. Ferriss officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.  Burial will follow the service in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Ten Sleep Ambulance in care of Bryant Funeral Home, P.O.
