Marlin Carter Cox
1934 - 2002
Marlin Carter Cox was born September 4, 1934 in Sheridan to Cliff and Retha Cox. He passed away July 16, 2002 in Denver after a long illness. He married Sharon Michael of Ten Sleep and they raised their three children before divorcing. They remained good friends until his death.
Marlin was an independent fencing contractor for many years. He also was a sheepherder, a Washakie County Road Crew employee, a rancher, and the manager of Otter Creek Grazing during his lifetime. He loved working with livestock and exploring the hills. He enjoyed working with his kids and helping them with 4-H projects.
He is survived by his sister Carmen Quinet, son Michael Carter (Cart) Cox, daughters Jean Cox and Donna Cox Wilson.
His ashes are scattered on Powder River per his request.
