Worland --- Marcella B. Dellos, 80, of Worland, formerly of Ten Sleep, passed away April 17, 2005 at the Washakie Medical Center in Worland.

Marcella was born July 20, 1924 in Nimbrod, Mont., to Donald E. and Hazel V. Wells.  The family moved to Ten Sleep when Marcella was about two years old.  Marcella attended public school in Ten Sleep and the Seventh-day Adventist Church School in Ten Sleep.

As times were hard and the family didn't have that much money, her father told Marcella she would have to work rather than attend high school.  So at a young age of 14, Marcella went to work as a cook at the Clyde and Florence Harvard ranch in Ten Sleep.  The hired hands and the Harvard's relative Archie Harvard, who worked there, loved her cooking so much that they called her "cookie" for short.  She had various other jobs in Ten Sleep and Worland, including working for the Merz Bakery in Worland.

At the age of 18, Marcella met Sam Dellos, who became her husband just a few months later.  They were married Jan. 10, 1942.  Sam and Marcella lived in Worland for six years where Sam worked for the Dellos family farm and various other farms before moving to Ten Sleep in 1948.

Over the years Marcella was kept busy busy raising their four children, Sammie, Gloria, Janice and Victoria.  Sammie was killed in Vietnam in 1966.

Marcella's hobbies included cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting and gardening.  She had such beautiful flowers and a beautiful yard that the Delloses won "yard of the month" title.  Marcella had always loved children and enjoyed babysitting for several teachers in Ten Sleep.  She enjoyed taking care of three children, Debbie, Brent and Randy, for Ten Sleep teacher, Shirley Rucki.  Marcella was a Gold Star Mother of the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and belonged to the Ten Sleep Sewing Club.  She was also a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ten Sleep.

Failing health necessitated Marcella's move to Worland Healthcare in 1992.  She joined her husband Sam who had been at the  nursing home since 1990.  He later died in 1995.  Marcella was loved by many of the nurses and staff at Worland Healthcare.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Hazel Wells; sister, Sylvia (Wells) Asbell; two brothers, Eldon and Victor Wells; husband, Samuel Dellos; and her son, Sammie Dellos.
