BEATRICE (BEATTA C) FRISON
Researched and compiled by Faye Bell (SLC) 2014
Beatta Charlotte Jacobsen was born to Emma and John Emil Jacobson; her birth registration made from Minneapolis, Minnesota, 19 June 1894. In 1913 she attended Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and in 1920 she was in Election District 2 of Natrona County, WY. That year she applied for a passport (her father was born in Norway) and it is believed she went to Norway at that time. In 1930 (as per U.S. Census) she was a teacher in Casper, Natrona County, WY. She married Paul P Frison, T.S. historian and pioneer—merchant, representative to Wyoming congress—son of Jake and Margaret Frison and they lived in Ten Sleep. After retirement Paul and Beatta (Bea) made their residence in Worland, WY. At the time of the 1940 U.S. census Paul’s son, Gerald, lived with them. Beatta C Frison passed away in December of 1980.
Memories: It is believed that she had no posterity. Paul seemed to be very proud of her cultural attainments and it seems that she gave generously in that manner to the Ten Sleep residents. I recall her hands were rheumatic and crippled by it, but that she ‘set a pretty table’ to teach young women (G.S.) how to set a formal dinner table. Fb
