            George R Ilg was born to Oscar R and Lillie Ilg in Wyoming in 1915.  His father was born in Switzerland and his mother in Iowa as per 1920 Federal Census.  The occupation of the father was a farmer and they resided at that time in Election District 3, Washakie County, WY.  The family consisted of Oscar and Lillie, Charles, Ida, Ira, Nellie, George and Alice.  By the 1930 census they were situated in Hyattville, Big Horn, WY.   George met and married Irene L Moses, daughter of Arthur and Edna Jacobs Moses ca 1949.  The couple had one child—Daniel Lee Ilg (born before 1951)—and their residence was in Worland until the passing of Irene who died in 1963 in Evanston, WY.  George R Ilg died in 1971.  The son was confined to institutions for the mentally challenged—a large man with a mental/emotional handicap. 


Memories:  George and his wife Irene lived in Ten Sleep periodically and Daniel Lee Ilg attended Ten Sleep Schools at those times.   George loved his wife and son passionately and was not easily consoled at Irene’s passing.
