TEN SLEEP --- Former Ten Sleep resident Calvin "CJ" Wayne Loveless II, 35, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at his home in Gillette, Wyo. following shoulder surgery on Wednesday.

CJ  was born March 30, 1976 in Burley, Idaho.  He was the oldest of five children born to Calvin Wayne and Laura Irean (Anderson) Loveless.  CJ attended school in Smithfield, Utah and Logan, Utah.  As a teenager, he worked on the Benson Dairy in that area.

When his family moved on to Wyoming he stayed in Utah to work and married Amanda Stites.  To this union was born their daughter, Mikayla Lynn.  They were later divorced.

CJ got his CDL at the age of 18.  He drove truck over the road for several years.  He traveled to 47 states behind the steering wheel of a semi.  He loved the country of America and each state held a special place to him.

He married Melissa Gullett on Aug. 2, 1997 and they resided in Brigham City, Utah.  Four children were born to them: Tristan M., Crystal R., Luneta I. and Shanna M.  This marriage ended in October 2006.

Moving to Ten Sleep in July 2005 to be closer to his family, CJ drove a local delivery truck for Pepsi.  On one of his deliveries to Greybull, he met Rae Ann (Baxter) Reid who was working at the Overland Express.  The first time she saw him, she told a coworker, "That's the man I'm going to marry."  On Dec. 24, 2007 at the Gerstner Ranch, they exchanged vows.  This marriage brought three more precious daughters into his life; Ashley P. Reid, Mickaela N. Reid and EmmyLee G. Reid.

During the past four years, CJ had worked for Consolidated  Oil Field Service which transferred him to Gillette.  He later went to work for Air Gass.  In November of 2010, he was overcome with health problems that brought his employment to an end.

CJ enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time with his faithful companion, Tinker.  But his greatest joy came from his family.  His wife, Rae Ann, and all of his children were his life.  Their home  was always filled with love and devotion to each other.

CJ was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings throughout his life.

CJ had friends wherever he went.  His smile and gentle ways were a blessing to all who knew him.
