MILLS SERVICES TO BE HELD AT 2 P.M. TODAY IN THE TEN SLEEP CHURCH.

Funeral services for Edward Clark Mills, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Ten Sleep Methodist Church.  I. O. O. F. Lodge members will participate in the services and act as pallbearers.

   Mills died Saturday afternoon in Worland Hospital after a long illness.  He had been a resident of Ten Sleep and the Big Horn Basin country for 59 years.  He was born in DeKalb County, Missouri on March 29, 1867. Arrangements are in charge of the Veile mortuary.

PASSES AWAY

Edward C. Mills passed away Saturday, July 27, at Ten Sleep, Wyoming after a lingering illness.  He was a son of Benjamin A. and Eliza Mills and was born March 29, 1867, and was the last one of a family of six sons.  He was a twin of the late Charles Perry Mills. Most of his life, except eight years, was spent in Wyoming.  When he was a young lad, he rode a horse westward with relatives and spent his earlier years with relatives near Ten Sleep, Wyoming.

   He breathed the spirit of the Old West, having ridden the range for many years. He was a member of the Fairport Lodge #472 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

   He was marries to Miss Vernie Early, January 9, 1888, and to this union three sons were born; Harry, Roy and Elmer, all of Ten Sleep, Wyoming.  He was later married to Mrs. Lavina Kier, and to this union four children were born; Bob, Georgia, Junior, and Leander, who passed away when quite young.

   He is survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

   Burial was Tuesday, July 30, in the family lot of the Ten Sleep, Wyoming Cemetery.
