Jerry Lee Michael,63, of Worland passed away on February 1, 2017 at the Washakie Mediical Center surrounded by his family.
Jerry was born March 29, 1953 to John and Claris (Toots) Michael in Worland Wy. Jerry grew up in Worland and Ten Sleep. His parents owned Deer Haven Lodge for many years so much of his childhood he lived on the mountain.
He graduated from Ten Sleep High School in 1972. Jerry was an excellent athlete. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved smoking fish and giving it to all his friends. Garden produce was shared with many. He had a lot of fun playing golf with his buddies.
He worked for Corbin Well service for many years until they sold. Then he worked for PE Grosch construction until he retired due to poor health. He was hit by H2S gas twice during his career which affected his lungs.
He was member of the Wyoming National Guard.
Jerry is survived by his sister Sharon (Larry) Moody, brother Donnie (Jan) Michael, nieces Donna Wilson, Jean Cox, nephews Cart Cox, John Michael, Joe Michael and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Jerry had a zest for life and was loved and will be missed by many.
No services will be held for him per Jerry's request. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Veile Mortuary. His ashes will be scattered with his parents on their beloved mountain.
