John Michael was born in Alexander Park, Alberta, Canada on July 3rd 1913 to Jacob and Katherine (Micheal) Michae l(who immigrated from Russia to Canada). They moved to Worland Wy when John was around 3 to farm and work at the Sugar Factory..
His siblings were Marie, Elizabeth, George. Mollie, Bill, and Jacob (Jake). They were all born in the USA. The siblings last name was spelled Micheal but JohnÕs was Michael.
John married Claris ŌTootsÕ Bean in 1935. They made their home in Worland until purchasing Deer Haven Lodge out of Ten Sleep in 1953. They resided there until 1968 when they moved into Ten Sleep and John worked at the Holly Sugar factory until his retirement. John was an avid marksman, hunter, fisherman, camper and gardener. He was survived by his wife Toots, daughter Sharon, Son Donnie, son Jerry Lee, and 5 grandchildren. He was cremated and his ashes are scattered on his beloved Big Horn Mountains.
