     TEN SLEEP --- Catheryne Sweet, 89, died Saturday, March 7, at Community Care of America in Worland.  She was born July 9, 1908 in St. Anthony, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Helen (Bender) Schaff.  She married Roy Neil Sweet Feb. 9, 1926 at Worland.

     She lived at St. Anthony as a small child, then moved with her family to Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada, where the family farmed and her father worked as a carpenter.  Her mother died when Catheryne was 13, and the family then moved to Walla Walla, Wash.  Next they moved to Worland, where her father was employed by Cy Hampton.  She met her husband there, and following their marriage, they farmed with his parents east of Worland.  In 1931 the couple moved to Ten Sleep, where they made their home.  Mr. Sweet died in 1980.

     She was a member of the Ten Sleep Methodist Church.  She also belonged to the Ten Sleep Senior Center.  She enjoyed playing bingo, working in her home, taking care of the flowers in her yard and fishing.

     She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Outland of Worland; Five grandchildren, Ronald Outland of Chester, Pa.; Gary Outland of Sheridan, WY; Catheryne  Paxton of Worland; Glen Roy Cantleberry and Judy Weeks, both of Ten Sleep; 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Marjorie Cantleberry, her parents, five brothers and six sisters.

     Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 11 at the Ten Sleep Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wesley W. Kendall presiding.  Burial will follow in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.

     Memorials may be made in her name at the Stockgrowers State Bank, P.O. Box 790, Worland, 82401, for a fund yet to be named.

     Veile Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitations will be at the Ten Sleep Methodist Church from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday.
