WORLAND --- John Edward Boltz was born in Worland, Wyoming on Oct. 17, 1973, the youngest child of Robert C. Boltz and Caroline P. Boltz. John died in a construction accident between Worland and Ten Sleep on Monday, August 30, 2004. He worked for WYDOT as a project engineer in Worland. Previous to that he had worked in Cheyenne, Basin and Laramie for DOT. In June of this year John had just passed his Professional Engineering Exam. He received his early education in Ten Sleep, and then graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Civil Engineering.
John excelled in sports through his life with scholarships in football and track to Jamestown, N.D. His Ten Sleep softball team had just won the Worland City Tournament. He was as avid hunter and loved the outdoors.
John's most proud accomplishment was his family, which he loved and admired dearly. In 1998 he married his best friend, Brandi R. Eggleston. He leaves behind three beautiful daughters: Madisyn Ray, age 5, Lexie Renae, age 3 and Ella Rose, age 1, who were the center of his life. He was a wonderful father and husband.
John was preceded in death by all his grandparents and one nephew. John is survived by his wife and three daughters all of Worland; his father, Bob Boltz of Ten Sleep, his mother Caroline of Lovell, sister, Sandra L. Armstrong of Lovell; sister Roberta L. Boltz of Laramie and brother Randal C. Boltz of Cheyenne; also two nieces and one nephew. He also leaves mother and father-in-law, Trish and Dana Place of Nashville, Tenn,; sister-in-law Krista Eggleston, of Laramie; grandparents, by marriage, Gary and Cloma Donner of Upton, Wyo.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Father Sam Hayes officiating. A Rosary will by held 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at St. Mary Magdalen's. Cremation will take place following the service and internment of the cremains will be held on 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4 at the Ten Sleep Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the John Boltz Memorial to be placed in a trust for his daughters. Donations can be sent in care of Bryant Funeral Home, P.O.
