     TEN SLEEP -- Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Little, 87, of Worland died Nov. 16, 2008 at Washakie Medical Center in Worland following a courageous battle with cancer.
     She was born on July 30, 1921 in Burlington, Wis., a daughter of Robert and Marguerite (Pendergrass) Matthews.  She was raised and schooled in Davenport, Iowa where she graduated from high school.
     Betty then worked in a hotel in Davenport before going to work as a secretary for the Brammer Cabinet Manufacturing Co.
     She met R. Eugene "Gene" Little in Davenport, and they were married at Galesburg, Illinois on Feb. 2, 1952.  The couple lived at Davenport until 1961 when they moved to Bettendorf, Iowa.  Betty worked for Riverside Foundry, a subsidiary of Sivyer Steel, as a secretary until her retirement in 1986.
     The couple bought property in Worland in 1981 and started moving to Worland a little bit at a time.  They completed the move in 1986 and have been full-time residents since that time.
     Betty was an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Worland where she helped with the Born Again Clothing Store.  She was a member of the Worland Legion Auxiliary, Christian Women's Club, and the Methodist ladies walking group.  She enjoyed going to coffee and visiting with lady friends and always enjoyed going to dinner with the Friday night supper group.
     She was preceded in death by her parents.
     Betty is survived by her husband Gene Little of Worland; her brother William Matthews of San Francisco, Calif.; her sisters Katie Gleason and  Patricia Warner both of Lake Geneva, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
     Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Worland with the Rev. Joe Galligan officiating.  A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall.  Burial will take place at 11:45 a.m. at the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
     The casket will be open on Wednesday afternoon from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Veile Mortuary and on Thursday at the church from 8:30 a.m. until service time.
