     TEN SLEEP --- Paul Riley Lyman, died Friday, Sept. 4, 1998, at his home after a lengthy struggle with cancer.
     He was born Sec. 26, 1932, in Burlington, to Clair S. and Mildred M. (Riley) Lyman.  His family ranched in the Otto area until Paul was nine years old, then they moved to Ten Sleep where they  began ranching on the Upper Nowood.  It was here he made his home for 48 years, raising his family and doing what he called his "passion" --- ranching.  He married Sharon Hansen on July 15, 1970, in Lovell and they were later sealed on June 8, 1974, in the Idaho Falls Temple. In 1990, the  couple built a new home three miles east of Ten Sleep, where they have resided for the past eight years.  He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where he served in numerous  positions throughout his life.
     He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his parents, Clair  and Mildren Lyman of Worland; two brothers, Philip Gordon Lyman and Stephen Dale Lyman, both of Ten Sleep; one sister, Francis Kay Swander, of Cody; and nine children, Kent Douglas Lyman, of Boise, Idaho, D. Ray Reutzel, of Cedar City, Utah, David Earl Lyman, of Salt Lake City, Utah, Cheri Lee Hoffman, of Lovell, Sean Michael Lyman, of Thorne Bay, Alaska, Susan Kay McGuire, of Greybull, Richard Paul Lyman, of Manderson, Lori Ann Kuronen, of Mesa, Az., and Wendy Salzman, of Ten Sleep.
     Also, he is survived  by 28 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death my his brother, Barton Riley Lyman.
     Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Ten Sleep L.D.S. Church.  Services will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the church, with Bishop Matt Davidson officiating.  Burial will be in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
