WORLAND --- Graveside funeral services for Charlotte Mae Brown Maller, 71, will be held at the Ten Sleep Cemetery on
Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Bud Surles
officiating. Burial will follow.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Atwood Family
Chapel, 419 West C Street
Charlotte passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2003
at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation
Center in Worland after a
courageous battle with cancer.
Charlotte was born March 14, 1932 in Gibson, Mont.,
the daughter of Ross and Mazie (Stephens)
Brown. At the age of four, she moved to Basin. In 1950, Charlotte graduated from Basin High School.
She married Glen Rex Maller in 1951 and they ranched
in the Burlington
area. They had two daughters. Nola was born in 1952 and Doreen was
born in 1955. They later ranched in Manderson
and on the Lower Nowood in Ten Sleep.
enjoyed animals. She raised bum lambs and quarter horses. She
worked as a store clerk and waitress in the Ten Sleep and Worland area. Charlotte also worked as
a partner with Glen over the years in putting on ropings
and rodeos, including the Ten Sleep Night Rodeo.
came to enjoy participating in flea markets and playing bingo. She loved
music and dancing and was an avid sports fan. She especially enjoyed
football, basketball and horse racing. After the death of her husband,
Glen, in 1995, Charlotte's
constant companion was her little dog, Sissy.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark in 1981; her dad, Ross in 1985;
her mother, Mazie in 1992; and her husband, Glen in
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Nola
Smith of Avon, Colo.
and Doreen Geis of Worland; two granddaughters, Gwen Clifton of Willcox, Ariz.
and Heidi Johnson of Worland; and four great-grandchildren, Kodie,
Jason, and Hailey Clifton, and Madie Johnson.
Atwood Family Funeral Directors, Inc. in Basin are in
charge of arrangements.
