     TEN Sleep --- Gladys Dessie Maller, 98, died Tuesday, February 16, 1999 at her home in Ten Sleep.
     She was born on March 22, 1900 at a ranch west of Burlington, the daughter of Charles and Eva  (Bryant) Slover.  She attended the little event school for the first few years of her schooling, later moving into the Burlington district and graduating from the Burlington high school.
     She was a charter member of the Burlington Baptist Church, later becoming a member of the Ten Sleep Methodist Church.  She married E. S. (Bill) Maller on Jan. 5, 1925 at Basin.  They owned and lived on  a ranch south of Burlington for more than 30 years.  After selling, they bought a ranch on the Lower Nowood north of Ten Sleep.  They sold this and bought a home in Ten Sleep, where she has made her home since.
     She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend her entire life, and will be missed by all who knew her.
     She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979, one son Glen in 1995, her father and mother, step-father and two sisters.
     She is survived by two sons, Guy Maller of Ten Sleep and Bill Maller of Forest Groove, Ore.; one daughter, Margie Pepper of Cheyenne; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
     Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 at the United Methodist Church in Ten Sleep with Rev. Russ Barber officiating.  Burial will be in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
     Visitations will be at the Atwood Family Funeral Home in Basin on Friday, Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the United Methodist Church in Ten Sleep.
