     WORLAND --- Helen Bell Starr, 81, died Sunday, March 25, 2001 at Worland Healthcare and Rehab Center.
     Helen was born Jan. 22, 1920 in Ten Sleep, the daughter of Irene and Gordon Sutherland.  During her youth and teenage years, she enjoyed living on the mountain during the summers and in Ten Sleep during the winter while attending school.  She graduated from Ten Sleep High School.
     She married Joe Richardson and had two sons, Gordon and Jimmy Richardson.
     She had a variety of working experiences such as cooking in Spec's Cafe in Ten Sleep, serving as school cook in Ten Sleep, cooking at lambing camps in the spring of the year, working in the Worland hospital cafeteria, and working in the Ten Sleep Museum.
     During her younger adult years, she was active in the Order of Eastern Star's Signal Cliff of Ten Sleep.  She held all offices including Grand Matron.
     Traveling to Sacramento, Calif. to visit her family was one of her enjoyments.  She also loved to crochet, garden, watch Braves and Cubs baseball on TV, fish, and picnic in the mountains.
     She loved living in her little house down by the creek in Ten Sleep.  After her heart attack she lived in Worland Healthcare and Rehab.  In spite of two strokes and diabetes problems, she enjoyed bowling, crafts, puzzles, bingo, picnics, and all the activities at the health care facility.  She appreciated all the TLC by the staff there.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Starr; her son, Jimmy Richardson; and a sister, Dorothy Ray Brooks.
     She is survived by her son Gordon  (Nancy) Richardson; two grandsons; two great-grandsons; a great-granddaughters; a sister, Merle Seaton; a brother, Boyd Sutherland; an aunt, Margaret Cogdill; numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends in Ten Sleep and Worland.
     Cremation has taken plaed.
     Memorial services will be Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m. at the Ten Sleep Methodist Church with Jim Moon so the Seventh-Day Adventist 
Church officiating.
     Burial will follow in the Ten Sleep Cemetery.
     Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Ten Sleep Senior Center in care of the Bryant Funeral Home, P.O. Box 524, Worland, Wyoming, 82401.
